Qurbani Program 2024 - Lahore

Between June 16-18, 2024 (Eid ul-Azha), Apportion Relief Foundation (ARF) successfully organized its Qurbani Program in commemoration of Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi. ARF carried out the sacrifice of cows in Lahore, Gilgit Baltistan, Jhang, and Multan. The meat from the Qurbani was distributed to the poor, needy, and underprivileged individuals in each locality, spreading love and care during this sacred occasion. Despite the worsening economic conditions in 2024, this initiative proved to be a significant relief for struggling families, ensuring they could partake in Eid celebrations.

Program Outline:

  1. Sacrifice (Qurbani): In keeping with Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi, cows were sacrificed in four regions: Lahore, Gilgit Baltistan, Jhang, and Multan. ARF ensured that the sacrifice was conducted with the utmost respect and adherence to religious guidelines.
  2. Meat Distribution:
    • Door-to-Door Delivery: The meat was distributed door-to-door in high-quality packaging, ensuring hygiene and quality standards were maintained.
    • Packaging: Special attention was given to the quality of packing materials, with meat being delivered in well-packed boxes and shopping bags to maintain freshness and cleanliness.
    • Fresh Meat: ARF ensured that only fresh meat was distributed, allowing recipients to enjoy their meals without any concerns about quality.
  3. Community Outreach:
    • The program was particularly impactful as the distribution reached the most vulnerable in each locality, offering critical nutritional support during tough economic times.
    • Social Media Engagement: ARF kept its donors and the public updated through regular social media posts, showcasing the program’s progress and impact.

Impact:

This Qurbani initiative complemented ARF's ongoing hunger relief efforts, particularly benefiting families who were struggling with rising food costs. The fresh meat distribution not only provided nourishment but also enabled recipients to celebrate Eid with dignity and joy, despite financial hardships. By saving on food expenses, families experienced a significant difference in their daily lives during the festival.

ARF’s Vision in Action:

This program demonstrated ARF’s commitment to its core mission: empowering communities, reducing dependency, and providing essential relief to the underprivileged. Through careful planning and execution, ARF ensured that the Qurbani meat reached those who needed it the most, while maintaining transparency and high standards. The event also strengthened ARF’s broader hunger relief campaigns, furthering its goal of alleviating poverty and fostering compassion within society.

Conclusion:

ARF’s Qurbani Program 2024 was a tremendous success, bringing relief, nourishment, and joy to underprivileged families across Lahore, Gilgit Baltistan, Jhang, and Multan. The program's efficient distribution process, high-quality meat packaging, and fresh delivery ensured that recipients were able to celebrate Eid ul-Azha with dignity.
